ALUMNI BOARD OF DIRECTORS COMMITTEES
I. MEMBERSHIP COMMITTEE
1) This committee holds the key to any success that our association may have. We need new members!
2) Each committee member is to recruit at least 5 alumni members to help them with new members.
3) Collect membership fees and turn in to the treasurer.
4) Collect information on new members and give to our Secretary so our records are kept up to date.
5) Each committee group should set a goal for the year.
6) Recommend new possibilities for the Board of Directors.
II. PROJECT COMMITTEE
1) Recruit from the alumni membership any help needed.
2) This committee must coordinate with the homecoming committee to establish an agenda for the annual homecoming meeting.
3) This committee is responsible to come up with raffle items for fund raisers at homecoming and door prizes for the members at the annual meeting.
4) Work with the administration at J H S on scholarships we sponsor. See criteria form for scholarships.
5) Names of the top two candidates for a scholarship are to be presented to the full board of directors
6) Recommend new possibilities for Board of Directors.
III. HOMECOMING COMMITTEE
1) This committee sets the agenda and program format for the annual homecoming alumni meeting. This includes selecting the date, time, place, agenda items, and any speakers. Speakers should come from J H S alumni!
2) Coordinate with the project committee on agenda items and time needed for the program.
3) Provide the association secretary with information that needs mailing out to our alumni members.
4) Recommend new possibilities for our Board of Directors.
5) Recruit from the alumni members any help needed.
IV. HALL OF FAME COMMITTEE
1) Use our criteria form to evaluate any nominee.
2) Determine how many are to be elected in a year.
3) Try to solicit the J H S faculty for nominees.
4) Once someone is elected to the hall, obtain an 8 x 10 photo (head shot) and a brief description of accomplishments.
5) Find a particular frame for the photo to be used.
6) Recommend new members for our Board of Directors.
